Available in early access for a short time, Manor Lords has already received numerous mods. And not all of them are as serious as you might think.
Since its release in early access last month, the medieval construction strategy game Manor Lords has already seen its community add some original elements to say the least. Thanks to the talents of passionate modders, iconic characters from popular culture like Shrek from DreamWorks and Geralt of Rivia, the famous witcher from The Witcher saga, have been integrated into the game.

The Shrek mod, created by user NorskPL, allows players to replace the third-person mode playable character with the famous green ogre. An image shared by One Proud Bavarian on X shows Shrek in action in the game, running through a village of Manor Lords while the villagers run away screaming around him. The addition of this character seems to fit surprisingly well into the game’s universe.
As for Geralt, his introduction into the universe of Manor Lords by the same modder reinforces the medieval and fantastic side of the game. The presence of the white-haired monster hunter adds a narrative and aesthetic dimension consistent with the atmosphere of the title. Perfect for fans. These changes are just examples of how gaming communities can enrich the gaming experience by integrating elements from different works.
Apart from these fanciful mods, Manor Lords also offers much more realistic mods, as you can see on the famous NexusMods site. We find in particular Eco Balance, which, as its name suggests, allows you to completely rebalance the game’s economy.
