Cathy Hummels is open with a good friend at “Bares für Rares”. In the luggage for Horst Lichter: two Chinese doors.

For the prime time edition of “Bares für Rares” on Wednesday evening (December 22nd) on ZDF, presenter Horst Lichter (59) was once again able to take a close look at the collector’s item from a prominent guest star. More precisely, that of a good friend of Cathy Hummels (33), who had traveled to the Drachenburg with two magnificent Chinese doors in their luggage.

For the artfully fourteen, albeit somewhat bulky, doors from the 19th century, Hummels’ friend had a desired price of 1,600 euros. But their expectations were far exceeded, not least thanks to the negotiating skills of their famous companion. “You should invest your money well,” said Hummels, fueling the competition among the experts. Your investment plan: “I like to invest my money in handbags.”

Money for a good cause

In the end, not only did we collect 3,300 euros, but also some money for a good cause. Part of the proceeds will go to the German Depression Aid Foundation run by Cathy Hummels, with which the presenter and entrepreneur helps young people with depression and wants to break down prejudices on the subject.
