Barry Callebaut: 5% drop in annual net profit


(CercleFinance.com) – The Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut publishes a net profit of 360.9 million Swiss francs for the past financial year, down 4.7% in local currencies, but a recurring operating profit of 624, 7 million, up 13.5% in local currencies.

Still excluding currency effects, turnover increased by 14.6% to 8.09 billion francs, up 14.6%, with sales volumes growing strongly by 5.3%, ‘exceeding clearly the stable underlying world market for chocolate confectionery’.

“We are on track to achieve our mid-term objectives in the 2022-23 financial year,” says CEO Peter Boone. The Board of Directors will propose at the AGM of December 14, 2022, a stable payment of 28 Swiss francs per share.
