Barry: What’s next for the former professional killer in Season 4?

• All fans of the series can be happy, because the (former) professional killer Barry will also return to the US broadcaster HBO with Season 4.

At the June 12, 2022 ran the final episode of the third season “Barry”. But even after the season’s explosive conclusion, fans need not fear that hitman/actor Barry’s story is over. US broadcaster HBO already announced on Instagram that the crime comedy will return with a fourth season. Barry Season 4: Launch

There is no exact start date for Season 4 yet. Based on the previous three seasons, we can probably Spring 2023 expect the new episodes. However, since the shooting already seems to be underway, season 4 could already be in the Fall 2022 on HBO to start.

In Germany, WOW (previously Sky Ticket) and Sky Go have shown the new episodes one day after the US start. About three months later, Sky Comedy and Sky Atlantic showed the new season.

Barry Season 4: Storyline

In Season 3, Barry is desperate to put his violent past behind him and pursue his newfound passion. He’s trying to break away from the world of hit-and-runs and devote himself full-time to acting.

But getting out isn’t easy. While Barry eliminated many of the external factors that drove him to violence, he soon finds that they weren’t the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that made him a murderer in the first place? Barry and the other characters try to make the right decision.

Season 3 of “Barry” finally ended with Barry realizing that good intentions just aren’t enough. Although Albert let Barry go again because he believes Barry is basically a good guy, Gene Cousineau has a slightly different view. So he ends up betraying Barry to the police.

While Gene finally gets revenge for Janice’s murder by betraying Barry, things are looking rather bleak for Barry as he is taken away in handcuffs by a SWAT team at the end of the episode. So will season 4 of “Barry” be set in prison? Or can Barry wriggle out of this tricky situation again?

Barry Season 4: Cast and Production

At this point, it’s expected that all of the main cast from last season will return, as none of the characters died in the finale.

So we can probably also see Season 4 with Bill Hader (“It 2”) as Barry Berkman / Barry Block, Henry Winkler (“Happy Days”) as Gene Cousineau, Stephen Root (“The Man in the High Castle”) as Monroe Fuches, Sarah Goldberg as Sally Reed and Anthony Carrigan (“Gotham”) as NoHo Hank.

In addition, Bill Harder will not only return as an actor in the lead roles of “Barry” Season 4. HBO has now announced that Hader will also serve as sole director for the new eight episodes.
