Bas-Rhin A woman victim of domestic violence slips an SOS to the pharmacist, who calls the police

Around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, a 36-year-old pregnant woman entered a pharmacy in Illkirch-Graffenstaden, in the suburbs of Strasbourg. Accompanied by her spouse, she presented a prescription by managing to slip a small piece of paper on which was just written “SOS”.

The pharmacist then quickly became aware of the situation and alerted the national police. “Quickly on the spot, the police arrested the companion, suspected of domestic violence, who was placed in police custody”, indicated the Departmental Directorate of Public Security, as reported by our colleagues from Latest News from Alsace.

Verbal abuse and death threats

“The victim exposed to the police the verbal abuse and death threats of which she was the victim and for which she has never dared to file a complaint for the time being. She also mentioned the particularly complicated context of her current relationship with her spouse, all in a climate of separation and marriage of convenience, ”continued the DDSP.

The 30-year-old husband will soon be brought to justice. The DDSP praised “the professionalism and responsiveness of this pharmacist”.
