Baseball caps are much more than just utility wear at sporting events. This year the "dad caps" are experiencing a real fashion hype. Why? We'll tell you!
It's not really fast, but it's all the more popular: everyone probably has a baseball cap lying around at home. Few can remember when you last wore it. And why is that? Many models have to be one thing above all else: practical and functional. The fashion aspect is a minor matter – we think it's wrong, because numerous stars such as Billie Eilish, Irina Shayk or Hailey Bieber create really cool street looks with the sporty headgear.
As with so many fashion trends, the trick is to find the right combination. If you style baseball caps too sporty, the style factor is missing, if you stay too elegant, the look does not look harmonious. We'll show you three examples of how you too can be an eye-catcher with baseball caps.
Tone on tone – this is how baseball caps look ultra trendy
Monochrome looks are incredibly stylish because of their simplicity. The German fashion blogger Leonie Hanne knows this and combines a matching baseball cap with the beige comfy look. It doesn't matter that the beige tones are not exactly the same color. On the contrary: Different nuances of a color give the look depth. We love this look and are already scouring the shops for a light-colored hat for the summer.
Less is more
If you want to pimp your elegant style and need some street credibility, then grab a baseball cap. Attention: So that the look doesn't look colorfully thrown together, you should rather fall back on a dark, simple cap. For example, fashionista Sonia Lyson combines a chic XL coat and overknee heels with a black logo cap from the "Los Angeles Dodgers".
Baseball caps and denim – a love story
Baseball caps and denim pants always work. This year, however, the sporty everyday look is getting a stylish update. Instead of dark denim, we now prefer light denim, which looks good in combination with XXL blazers. With three fashion basics you have a modern look in a few minutes – what more could you want!
