BASF: completes the sale of its minerals business to KaMin


(CercleFinance.com) – On September 30, BASF completed the sale of its kaolin minerals business to KaMin, a performance minerals company headquartered in Macon, Georgia, USA.

The Kaolin Minerals business has approximately 440 employees, including personnel in North America, Europe and Asia.

It generated revenue of approximately €171 million in 2021.

The divestiture includes the production center with sites in Daveyville, Toddville, Edgar, Gordon and related mines, reserves and mills in Toomsboro and Sandersville, Georgia, USA.

The refining catalysts operations located at the same location will continue to be owned and operated by BASF’s refining catalysts business and are not part of the divestiture.
