BASF: sales and marketing agreement with Korean G-Philos

(CercleFinance.com) – BASF announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, BASF Stationary Energy Storage GmbH (BSES), has signed a sales and marketing agreement with G-Philos, the Korean leader in power-to-gas technology ( P2G), focusing on NAS batteries (stationary sodium-sulfur batteries) for P2G projects, power grid and microgrid applications.

The companies will work together to develop and commercialize energy storage systems based on NAS batteries from BASF and energy conversion systems (PCS) from G-Philos. G-Philos will also purchase NAS batteries from BSES with a total capacity of 12 MWh.

BASF and G-Philos plan to strengthen their commitment to the long-term energy storage and climate-friendly hydrogen market in South Korea and the Asia region.

G-Philos can provide PCS products suitable for NAS battery systems ranging from 250 kW to 1 MW, BASF said.
