At the end of the 18th round of the men’s basketball super league, the Klosterneuburg Dukes and the Swans Gmunden celebrated victories on Sunday.
The league leaders from Lower Austria won away against BC Vienna with 96:92 and were the first team to secure a play-off ticket. The Dukes were behind for a long time. The Viennese were already leading 78:68, but lost their lead in the finish. The Swans clearly beat the Kapfenberg Bulls 110:72. The Upper Austrians turned up the heat after a 42:35 half-time lead and scored 68 points in the second half. In the table, Master Gmunden is still four points behind as the Dukes’ first pursuer.
