Flared sleeves are back. Here you can find out in which designs, shapes and colors they pimp up our wardrobes in spring and why everyone needs such a part.

batwing sleeves? Isn’t that yesterday’s news? We thought so too at first, but it’s not true. They are now celebrating their trend revival under the hip new name “Flared Sleeves”. Whether it’s a clean blouse, boho tunic or cardigan – we love the trend with wide sleeves. Because it is not only super versatile, but also a real figure flatterer. The longer sleeves, which are reminiscent of bat wings, stretch optically and make the silhouette appear slimmer.

The designers think so too and send their models down the catwalks with some unusual variations of the trend – from playful and feminine to scandi-clean, there really is something for everyone here. That sounds pretty promising, doesn’t it? That’s why we’re now showing you which styles particularly caught our eye.

The most beautiful looks from the catwalk

The models at Isabel Marant floated down the catwalk with three-quarter sleeves and a lace pattern in a delicate rosé tone. The look is very feminine and evokes spring fever. The cropped blouse would also be an eye-catcher with jeans!

Marlene Birger shows that flared sleeves can also be different and don’t always have to mean playful and boho chic. The wide sleeves pimp up the tone-on-tone look, flowing materials are hip anyway – coolness factor to the power of 10!

And even with Elie Saab, it says “less is more” in terms of color. The cut with the shoulder cut-outs and the slits on the sleeves is all the more convincing. The look also shows how versatile flared sleeves can be.
