A famous actor had auditioned against Tim Burton for the role of Bruce Wayne in the 1989 film “Batman”, but was not selected… probably because of his frankness!
Batman could have looked a little more “Bondian”! Irish-born American actor Pierce Brosnan, famous for starring as James Bond in four feature films from 1995 to 2002, has revealed he auditioned for the first Dark Knight film directed by Tim Burton. And it failed in large widths!
I remember saying something stupid to Tim Burton. I said to him, ‘You know, I can’t understand a man who would like to wear his underwear over his pants’…
“Obviously, the best candidate got the job.”continues Brosnan at the Tonight Showtalking about Michael Keaton and his getting the role, “and I imagine it was to meet Doctor Fate on the best terms.”

Indeed, Pierce Brosnan ended up joining the DC universe since he now plays Kent Nelson alias Doctor Fate in the future film on Black Adam. As for Michael Keaton, after having played in Batman and Batman, the challenge, he will be back in the skin of Bruce Wayne in the film The Flash, to come next June 21.
It will take much less time to discover Black Adam with Dwayne Johnson and therefore Pierce Brosnan, since the DC film will be released next Wednesday on our screens!
