The reality stars tremble in the first “hour of truth”.

A record and surprising freedom of movement: The fourth season of “Battle of the Reality Stars” has started.
The first load has arrived. In the first episode of “Kampf der Realitystars” (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m. on RTLzwei, also on RTL+) the first ten celebrities were washed up on the Thai beach.
Hardcore fan Serkan comes for a symbolic euro
Serkan Yavuz (29) is allowed to open the fourth season. The Regensburger has been seen in countless trash formats, only KdR is still missing in his portfolio. To be allowed to be there, he only takes a symbolic fee of one euro. He probably would have paid more.
As a hardcore fan, he already knows the Sala and the other locations inside out. Experienced, as if he had been living here for months, he led the next two arrivals through the site: Ingrid Pavic (35) and Manni Ludolf (60).
Ingrid Pavic, known from “Big Brother” 2011, is also grateful to be here. After all, you can’t even book something like this with “Albert Schweitzer” (sic!). Manni Ludolf seems happy everywhere. Even under the Southeast Asian sun, the talkative former TV junk dealer wears his green knitted hat, his trademark since the 1978/79 winter season. Did his mother then etc.
Then come in quick succession: Paul Janke (41), self-proclaimed “Ur-Bachelor”. “Summer House of the Stars” winner Antonia Hemmer (22), who wants to prove that she can function without her ex, the toxic farmer Patrick Romer (27). Ex-Viva presenter and Eurodance legend Daisy Dee (52), who comes “from the 90s” (sic!). “Hot or Schrott” tester Matthias Mangiapane (39), who, loosely based on Nietzsche, describes himself as “pure dynamite”.
“Hot or junk”? Uschi pulls blank
The grand dame of “Hot oder Schrott” is also moving in. Uschi Hopf (81) does not know how to pronounce the word “reality”. Otherwise, the Berliner does not seem to have informed herself about the format. Anyway, she jumps naked in the pool. So completely naked. The gracious direction hides fruit emojis over the “Bells of Rome” (Matthias) and the “Mumu” (also Matthias). She doesn’t seem to have been aware that she was being filmed.
After the first night come the last two debutants of the opening episode. Daniel Schmidt (39) is the head of the “Elbschlosskeller” on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn, “Europe’s most asocial pub”. As such, he should get along with roommates with behavioral problems.
Sarah Knappik (36) was the last to reach the star beach. The former problem candidate from “Germany’s next top model” and the jungle camp is proud to have changed physically. She gained 20 kilos after giving birth to her daughter.
Sarah Knappik delivers – record on the wall of truth
Sarah Knappik lives up to her reputation as a drama queen. On the Wall of Truth, she immediately grabs the game. The stars have to be assigned according to their popularity with the public. At the last minute, Sarah overthrows the collectively agreed ranking – she quickly puts herself in first place ahead of Bachelor Paul.
But Sarah rightly prevailed. All assignments are correct – for the first time in the history of “Battle of the Reality Stars”. Your roommates bow.
Together with Daniel, Sarah has to determine who has to leave the sala first. The two executioners choose Paul as the potentially strongest participant. But he thwarts them. Together with Manni, he wins the game that protects him from being thrown out. The stars have to get together in teams. Another player has to absorb slime from a paddling pool with his body and fill a funnel that his colleague wears around his neck.
In the “moment of fact” (Manni), uh, the moment of truth with Cathy Hummels (35), Daniel and Sarah have to change their plans. They choose Ingrid. The TV nose, whose name didn’t just mean nothing to the roommates, has to pack.
“Best cast ever”? Unfortunately, no
Is the field of participants in the fourth season “The best cast ever”, as Sarah Knappik claimed? No. The big names in the industry are missing on paper. RTLzwei had already shot them in the previous rounds: Claudia Obert (61), Gina-Lisa Lohfink (36) or Georgina Fleur (33). There is also a villain of comic super villain format missing, as Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt (79) embodied him in season two.
Lines of conflict, from which the show also lives, were not indicated at the start. Sarah was able to use her stubbornness to benefit the team. And even Matthias, the self-proclaimed “black mamba”, has remained calm so far. The preview of the upcoming episodes showed right from the start that it wouldn’t stay that way.
