As Season 3 “Crescendo” has arrived on Battlefield 2042 a short time ago, as of this writing, EA and DICE are already working on the next updates. Moreover, the development studio and the publisher in charge of the software have recently brought some information about the upcoming seasons and news on the title.
A first look at content coming to Battlefield 2042
In an article published on the official site, EA revealed an overview of the new features that will be introduced soon on Battlefield 2042. Thus, we learn that the 3.1 updatewhich will be available in December, will allow us to discover a new version of the Manifest card. This will offer ” HQ flags closer to the action, tighter playing space, improved visibility, cover and lines of sight, and better passages between flags so that attacks and defenses are more concentrated around them “.
At the beginning of 2023, the developers plan to deploy the 3.2 update who will introduce the Rupture map rework. Not to mention, the reintroduction of classes : “ All of our existing Specialists will have defined roles with gadgets and gear tailored to their needs on the battlefield “. On this subject, note that with the Season 4a new Specialist (the last) will be added. This one will join the Scout class.
Besides, the Season 4marking the end of Year 1, should be available early 2023. This new season will obviously bring its share of novelties : a Specialist, a Battle Pass, a new card “ smaller and linear », equipment and many other elements.
Eventually, DICE and EA confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will get a fifth season. The development studio and publisher clarified that Season 5 will add, among other things, a new game map:
[…] So in Season 5, we will be drawing inspiration from previous games to flesh out the world of 2042. The new Season 5 map will be a forgotten battlefield that was last seen in Battlefield 4.
