Battlefield 2042: already the end for Hazard Zone, return of Rush and modified maps… the roadmap for the coming months specified

The Season 1 of Battlefield 2042 will finally arrive in June 2022, if all goes well, which will allow DICE to add additional content rather than bailing out the ship with technical updates. However, he still has several changes of the genre to offer in the coming months, and he has just detailed them in a long video and a dedicated article.

Senior Producer Ryan McArthur and Creative Director Lars Gustavsson thus first explain that they planned to energize the cards Kaleidoscope and Renewal, with modified spaces and more coverage options. The first one map should be changed to Season 1the second in Season 2. For lovers of Rushthe 32-player temporary mode will return in a new form in Season 1.

Otherwise, major announcement: the support of Hazard Zone will already be stopped. Apart from any essential technical fixes, the content will not be fleshed out in future updates, the mode will not benefit from additional content, as it “didn’t fit” and that DICE prefers to refocus its activities on Total War and Battlefield Portal. The voice and the face of some Specialists otherwise will be modified to reinforce their charisma, while their gameplay and how their skills impact the parties are being reviewed.

The developers are otherwise working on improving the animations of the bodies to better read the movements of other players, the balancing of weapons, the introduction of the “classic” arsenal of previous games in Total War, or performance optimization. Above all, they also prepare the content of the Season 1bringing a card, a Specialistnew weapons, vehicles and gadgets, a first Battlepasschallenges and more.
