Battlefield 2042 drops below 1,000 concurrent players

It is, unfortunately, no longer a secret: Battlefield 2042 has struggled to convince and satisfy players since its official launch. And this despite various updates, including fixes and some additions, deployed after its release.

It is so much so that the number of players connected simultaneously, on the Steam version of Battlefield 2042, is very low. On this Monday, April 11, a thread on ResetEra reveals thatthere were only 979 players, on the title, earlier today. Conversely, Battlefield V was at a peak of 20,913 players over the same period. Indeed, since the release of Battlefield 2042 and given its quality, many people have returned to the previous installments of the license, such as Battlefield V or Battlefield 1.

The developers at DICE have been trying to rectify this, and have been for months. They are currently working on revamping certain cards and planning improvements for various game elements and mechanics (Specialists, etc.).
