He had however qualities to shine this Battlefield 2042. We believed in it hard as iron, but we have to face the facts, the title of DICE completely failed its launch. And that’s not all. It’s been six months now that the developers have been pedaling in semolina to try to rectify the situation, without success. Elementary features are slow to arrive, major game modes are disappearing and the game community keeps rumbling while gradually jumping ship. An inexorable hemorrhage thatElectronic Arts could only hope to stem with the long-awaited Season 1. That’s good, it’s to discover it thatElectronic Arts invited us to a small presentation.
But before getting to the heart of the matter, EA and the loyal developers of DICE wanted to be reassuring about the ongoing facelift. The overhaul of maps is obviously a big topic. Also, we were able to get a glimpse of the new look of the map Kaleidoscope. More cover, destructible elements, but also simple additions that make the map much more lively and interesting for large-scale clashes. Unsurprisingly, its new policy should gradually apply to the rest of the maps. All of this we more or less knew, although this is the first time we’ve seen a trailer which gives us a good idea of the site.
The great novelty, however, is the content of the famous Season 1 baptized zero hours which is finally revealed. We would like to tell you that the big star of this presentation was the new map Exposure. The latter was designed with verticality in mind, with eagle’s nests perched on the mountainside as key areas. The terrain looks perfect for snipers as well as flying vehicle enthusiasts. Narrower corridors are also present in the heart of the military complex of the mountain, an opportunity for close combat. Exposure however, was very quickly upstaged by the other new features of the Season 1. Starting with the integration of two new stealth helicopters. Capable of making two players fly, these machines can switch from undetectable mode to a more offensive mode. In short, they are fine and handy toys that should help clear the fortified positions of the new map.
Christmas is not over. zero hours also includes two new weapons and a gadget. Let’s start with the latter which should interest more than one strategist: the smoke grenade launcher. It’s all in the title, we have nothing to add except that this equipment should be seriously considered by players who prefer team play. gun side, DICE did in the original with the BSV-Ma weapon halfway between an assault rifle and a sniper rifle. the Ghostmaker is for its part a small crossbow with explosive ammunition which can be very useful with infantry, but also vehicles.
The highlight of the show is obviously the presentation of the new Specialist Ewelina Lis which will be available very soon. This Polish woman is an engineer specializing in the fight against vehicles. She is able to highlight any damaged enemy gear. More interestingly, she can take out a guided missile to get rid of them. A future must have ? Without a doubt. In any case, we imagine that aficionados who still play Battlefield 2042 many will want to try their weapon of Specialist.
With these novelties, the new modes of Portal seem well behind. However, there will be new experiences on this side. Let us also mention the presence of an inevitable Premium Battle Pass for those who want to acquire new skins payable during the season. All of these less exciting things will arrive at the same time as the bulk of the content, which is on June 9th. The bets are off on whether those who have deserted the license are ready to return to the battlefield to try the additions of this Season 1 which we hope will be saving for Battlefield 2042.
