Every season his special activity! Currently in full Season 5, Battlefield 2042 hosts today and until July 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. an event called Arkangel’s Directivewhich introduces the temporary mode Control. Playable in 24v24 on Regeneration, Orbital And Valparaísoit asks to take control of satellites spread over the map and defend them until telemetry data is sent, each success giving us access to more and more powerful combat vehicles increasing our chances of overthrowing our opponents.
And as always, the event is accompanied by Ribbons to be won during games and exchanged for cosmetic items, as well as paid packs available throughout the duration of the party. Everything is detailed below.
This is Arkangel’s Directive.
We invite you to join us on the battlefield for a new special in-game event from July 11 12:00 UTC (14:00 CEST) to July 25 12:00 UTC (14:00 CEST).
During the event, you will play as the Arkangel Legion faction, a private military branch of the Arkangel Corporation. This neutral company serving all nations seeks to improve humanity through the application of robotics and AI technologies.
With both superpowers recovering from their wounds after a decade of war, the Arkangel Legion is under heavy strain on both sides of the conflict.
Thanks to the financial support of the richest society in the world, the soldiers of the Arkangel Legion are the best, having access to the most advanced technologies.
The adjective formidable is an understatement. Every contract signed with the Archangel Legion guarantees victory.
TAKE CONTROL
Aided by the Ascension satellite network, the mighty Arkangel Legion can unlock any impasse. In Control, take and hold changing objectives to load tactical range data. Accumulate as much data as possible to dominate the region and get Ascension points to buy vehicles.
Execute the directive. Take control
Control is played 24v24 on Regeneration, Orbital and Valparaiso. Your objective is to collect the telemetric data to send them to the Arkangel satellite.
- Take Control of Satellites – Your squad carries sensors that react with unsynchronized satellites scattered across the map. Get within range of an active satellite to claim it and begin syncing. Many control points can become available at the same time. Enemies can attempt to take satellites to their side at any time.
- Synchronize telemetry data – Maintaining your checkpoints is essential. Defend your satellites until the telemetry data comes online. After a series of uploads, another free satellite appears. The more telemetry data you sync, the higher your score will be.
- Earning Combat Vehicles – On good performance, Arkangel will give you Ascension Points, which you can use to request vehicle drops to change the tide of battle. The more you save, the more powerful vehicles you can request.
Over time, there will be fewer and fewer objectives on the map, and in the end, you will have to face the enemy team in an epic battle in the center. It’s all about control.
TIPS AND TRICKS FOR STAYING IN CONTROL
- Focus on making and maintaining goals. Eliminating enemies helps you gain the advantage, but it’s not the key to victory.
- Request vehicles for the team. Vehicles are crucial to victory, so use your Ascension Points to get them delivered to the battlefield as soon as possible.
- Remember the spawn points of the objectives. Objectives appear in a fixed pattern. Knowing your next destination will help you get ahead of the enemy.
- Coordinate with the squad and communicate. To overwhelm your enemy, launch joint attacks and respawn in multiple vehicles at the same time.
