Battlefield 2042: thousands of players claim a refund

While the players thought that Cyberpunk 2077 would have been a case study to avoid any new catastrophic launch of a video game, EA Games and DICE proved that not with Battlefield 2042. Released last November the FPS multiplayer included a bunch of bugs, which the devs are having a hard time fixing.

Players also expect regular content, but the first season of Battlefield 2042 won’t happen until this summer. EA Games publicly admitted the failure of the game recently, but the fans did not take off and launched an online petitionwhich has already collected more than 64,000 signatures. Their objective ? Get a Battlefield 2042 Refundwhich does not keep the promises of the developers:

EA’s release of Battlefield 2042 was a mockery to all customers who purchased this $70 (USD) video game due to EA’s false advertising.

Battlefield 2042 cost consumers millions of dollars in damages and pissed off thousands of customers worldwide.

According to numerous consumer reports, Electronic Arts and DICE failed to deliver on many promises made at launch, and Battlefield 2042 launched unplayable. Even today, Battlefield 2042 has bugs that change the gameplay experience so much that it is considered an unfinished version by many in the community.

In fact, Battlefield 2042 was so poorly made that even Steam, a highly reputable PC video game provider, is giving customers a full refund.

By signing this petition you will be one step closer to a refund on Battlefield 2042. Assume this petition receives 50,000 or more signatures. In this case, one of the best class action lawyers in the country is ready to argue our case against EA.

Signing this petition is like saying, “I would like a refund on this game.” Please sign this petition if you think you deserve a refund for Battlefield 2042.

The gaming community should not tolerate this abuse and bullying from multi-billion dollar corporations that create unfinished games and fake advertisements.

Fans are pissed off, it remains to be seen whether even after the goal of 75,000 signatures (which should be quickly reached), EA Games and DICE deign to reimburse the players, losing millions of dollars in the process. As a reminder, L’insider Tom Henderson recently claimed that studios have plans to relaunch Battlefield 2042 after bug fixesand a passage in free-to-play would even be mentioned, which is not likely to please players who have paid the game full pot. You can find Battlefield V at €37.99 at Gamesplanet.
