At its official launch, Battlefield 2042 unfortunately failed to convince players. However, since then, EA and DICE have been working regularly on the title in order to deploy updates, providing fixes and new content. In addition, the publisher of Battlefield 2042 intends to continue to bring the franchise to life.
Indeed, EA recently announced that the next campaign, ” set in the Battlefield universe is being developed by new studio Ridgeline Games, led by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto. Remember, moreover, that Marcus Lehto joined EA in October 2021.
On this subject, in a recent article published on the EA site, the general manager of Battlefield, Byron Beede, wrote: […] Supported by a world-class team, he [Marcus] is in charge of developing a narrative campaign set in the Battlefield universe that will engage fans in new and exciting ways, while remaining true to the classic elements of the series […] “.

For the moment, we don’t know more, except that this campaign concerns the next episode of Battlefield, and not BF 2042, of course. Obviously, as soon as new information on this subject becomes available, we will not fail to keep you informed.
