Between NVIDIA, Intel and AMD, the tenors of Graphic card are preparing us for a great end to the year.

After years of waiting and more or less well-founded rumors, Intel has indeed returned to the world of dedicated graphics cards with the ARC Alchemist range, launched in March 2022.

If this did not really surprise the specialists, it must nevertheless be admitted that this return did not completely compete with the two champions of the category, AMD and NVIDIA. A reason to give up?

ARC Alchemist: an encouraging return

Let us actually remember that of the 5 ARC card models available, from the ARC A310 to the ARC A770, none is even able to compete with the GeForce RTX 4060 or Radeon RX 7700.

However, we should not denigrate the work carried out by the Intel teams, who first managed to offer a credible range allowing the games of the moment to be played very correctly. On the other hand, Intel has done some impressive follow-up work proving that it understands the importance of graphics drivers.

Obviously, in such circumstances, it would have been a shame to see Intel not continue its efforts, and the firm has always been very clear: ARC Battlemage, its second generation, is still relevant.

ARC Battlemage to drive the point home?

Better, while several experts regretted Intel’s delay on the previous generation (ARC Alchemist was released several months after its competitors), ARC Battlemage could be better synchronized.

To believe ComputerBase Quoted by VideoCardzseveral internal industry sources confirm that Intel is now aiming for a release ahead of Black Friday, that is to say before November 29, 2024. Of course, there is no question of an official announcement for the moment, but everything suggests that we will be entitled to a end of the year with fanfare in terms of graphics cards.

Let us actually remember that several sources are announcing the release of the GeForce RTX 50 before the end of the year and that the next range from Radeon is expected in the same waters. Strongly!

Having fallen into video games at a time when it took a great imagination to see here a football match, there a tank fight in these few bars represented on the screen, I have followed all the developments for forty years. Loyal to the PC, but a fan of all genres, I only have trouble with JRPGs. Otherwise, from the driest turn-based strategy to the most spectacular FPS, including sports simulations or musical games, I can do it all... with a preference for management and games combining several styles. My video game pantheon would consist of three series: Elite, Civilization and Max Payne.
