Javicia Leslie is the successor to Ruby Rose and slips into the batsuit for "Batwoman". Now there is a first picture from the set.
Javicia Leslie (33, "God Friended Me") becomes "Batwoman": In the second season of the series, the Augsburg-born actress takes on the leading role. Leslie was allowed to show her fans a first picture from the set, on which she is posing in her batsuit. The close-up shows her with red hair and the iconic black mask. "Look out, Gotham, I've put the suit on. Be excited to see how Ryan Wilder does her own thing in a batsuit," wrote Leslie, indicating a new twist in the second season.
The new Batwoman will not be Kate Kane, who was played by Ruby Rose (34) in the first season. "Ryan Wilder becomes Batwoman", the series creators announced instead. "She is personable, chaotic, a bit naive and unbridled." And she is not at all like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the batsuit in front of her. She still has one important thing in common with her predecessor: Ryan Wilder is also said to be an openly lesbian figure. The new episodes should be broadcast from January 2021.
