Nagelsmann sends a request to Lewandowski

Salihamidzic had recently categorically ruled out leaving Lewandowski this summer after eight years. “Now we have time to talk about what’s next,” he said, referring to the end of the contract and a possible early contract extension with the 33-year-old Pole.
The first meeting should have taken place
According to Salihamidzic, the world-class striker is “the top earner in the club”. The club is reluctant to extend the contract, which runs until 2023, given the age of the attacker and the high salary costs.
