(AOF) – Bayer (-4.89% to 30.73 euros) posted the biggest drop in the DAX index this morning after being ordered on Friday to pay compensation of 2.25 billion dollars (2.07 billion euros) to an American from Pennsylvania suffering from cancer attributed to exposure to the weedkiller Roundup (glyphosate) from Monsanto, a subsidiary of the German group. According to Reuters, a Philadelphia court ruled that John McKivision’s “non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma” was caused by using Roundup for yard work at his home over several years.
