It was a slightly better training session that FC Bayern Munich had to complete on Wednesday evening at Bremer SV. The German record cup winner gives the fifth division side a dozen goals.
The fact that coach Julian Nagelsmann (34) does not want to risk embarrassment can already be seen when looking at the starting lineup. Some prominent names are not included, but Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Niklas Süle and Joshua Kimmich are in the starting line-up. And they don’t let anything burn.
The fair is already read after the first half. Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (32) contributed three goals to the 5-0 break lead. The other two goals go to the account of youngster Jamal Musiala (18) and Bremen defender Jan-Luca Warm (22).
No mercy in the second half
FC Bayern can sit back and relax in the second half. Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that. Seven more goals are scored. Choupo-Moting makes his fourth goal, Musiala his second and Sané and Tolisso are among the goalscorers. In the meantime, Bremen made life difficult for itself. In the 76th minute, Ugo Nobile (23) flies off the field with red. So the players at Bremer SV “only” have the experience of having played against the great FC Bayern.
The draw for the second DFB Cup round will take place on Sunday, August 29th.
