Bayonetta 3: Hellena Taylor Confirms She Received a Higher Offer Than She Indicated

The more the days progress, the more we learn about the controversial affair concerning the English dubbing of Bayonetta 3. After starting all this story, Hellena Taylor, the former Bayonetta voice actress has attempted to contradict all inquiries stating that PlatinumGames offered way more than $4,000 for her to reprise her role in the third episode. Now his version changes somewhat, while trying to justify some points.

The actress goes back on her words, but not completely

In a series of tweets, Hellena Taylor returned to some of her statements. She indicates that she would have initially been entitled to an offer of 10,000 dollars in total. She would then have contacted Hideki Kamiya, who would have told her that he appreciated her work and that the fans would be delighted to be able to find the actress, which materialized in an additional 5,000 dollars, i.e. the 15,000 dollars reported by the Bloomberg and VGC survey.

Taylor says she turned down the offer, before receiving one a new offer of $4,000 to dub just a few lines of dialogue. Again, she refused.

She refutes all other reports that she asked for $250,000 to dub the character, just like the $4,000 for 5 sessions would be a lie according to her.

Difficult to really know where the truth is hidden in this whole story, since the actress is already beginning to return to certain remarks. There is no doubt that this story of big money is complex, and that we have not finished hearing about it.
