After years of waiting, PlatinumGames finally gave birth to Bayonetta 3 late last year, but is far from done with the Witch of theUmbra and his multiverse. In effect, nintendo surprised his world during the Game Awards by announcing Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demona prequel to the heroine’s childhood, promising a gameplay quite different from the license standards. With the game coming out next month, it obviously made an appearance again at the Nintendo Direct.
The trailer reminds us of the main lines of the scenario in which cereza will brave the dangers of the forest ofAvalon in search of his kidnapped mother, then meeting the demon Pet. The duo will be controllable at the same timewhich should bring back memories to players ofAstral Chain from the same studio, with the creature attacking while the girl can hinder enemies for example. The approach should appeal to strategy enthusiasts who prefer a little more calm combat, especially since options to help them get started will be available. The players of Bayonetta 3 have as a reminder access to a demo in-game to try it out.
Control both characters at the same time and obtain elemental energy from wood, rock, water and fire to open new paths and defend yourself more effectively against fairies. Will Cereza find the power to save her imprisoned mother, and will Chouchou get back to where he came from?
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is expected on March 17 on Switch and can be pre-ordered on Amazon at a price of €59.99. Some unpublished visuals can be found on the next page.
