Bayonetta Origins playable before release, here’s how

Just announced at The Game Awards, a Bayonetta 3 secret reveals that, in fact, Bayonetta Origins has been playable for months. We explain how to play it.

Bayonetta Origins Cereza and The Lost Demon presents itself as a small adventure game drastically from the traditional Bayonetta. The game opts here for a penciled artistic direction that seems to be drawn by hand and highlights a very young and inexperienced Bayo. A totally unexpected surprise game, or almost.

If the announcement actually surprised everyone, it actually turns out that the game had already been teased in Bayonetta 3. Better still, a first chapter of the game is downright playable, but for that you have to do some manipulations and reveal one of the secrets of the latest game from Platinum Games.

To access the secret chapter of this Bayonetta Origins, several very specific conditions must be met. Here are the steps to follow.

It will first be necessary to buy the book entitled The Gates of Hell (La porte des enfers) from Rodin for a certain zone of halos, then look for 3 keys hidden in the levels of the game to unlock access.

  • The first of these keys can be found in Chapter 1-2 and can be found near a ledge in a Chaotic Rift in Ginnungagap.
  • The second key, meanwhile, is located in Chapter 4-1 in the chaotic Ginnungagap Rift. You’ll find the key at the top of one of the biggest platforms in the area.
  • Finally, the last key is hidden in chapter 13-2, you will find it hanging in the void near the flying rocks that serve as a platform in a chaotic rift in Ginnungagap.

But as a video is better than a thousand vague words, we leave you here a walkthrough shared by Youtuber Kakuchopurei which shows exactly how to proceed. Be careful though, the last part of the video spoils the entire bonus chapter of Bayonetta Origins which serves here as a teaser for the full game. The latter will be released on March 187, 2023 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
