A Youtuber named Jarvo69 sabotages the broadcast of a cup game between Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers. With a porn prank he triggers outrage at the BBC. Soccer legend Gary Lineker can’t be bothered by any of this.
Loud moaning like in a porn film caused astonishment and grins in the TV studio during the BBC broadcast of the FA Cup duel between Liverpool FC and Wolverhampton. The British broadcaster was apparently pranked.
Ex-professional and presenter Gary Lineker was about to ask a question to colleague Alan Shearer Tuesday night, according to videos circulating around the internet, when a woman’s groan was heard. Lineker grinned and said, “Someone is texting something on someone’s phone, I think.” The expert later tweeted a photo of an older model phone with adhesive strips and wrote: “Well we found this taped behind the scenes. As far as sabotage goes, it was quite amusing.”
The man behind the porn prank has already been banned from the stadium
The BBC issued a statement apologizing for the incident. A spokesman announced an investigation. The broadcaster, which is meticulous about avoiding swear words in its broadcasts, was less amused overall than Gary Lineker. “We apologize to any viewers who felt offended during tonight’s live broadcast of the football game,” it said.
The report published on the BBC website also said that a prank player known on YouTube had claimed the action for himself. The Youtuber with the name Jarvo69 published a video on Twitter that is supposed to show him preparing for the prank. Another Video should show the call of the youtuber. Daniel Jarvis, the man behind the account, was only given a two-year ban from all sporting events in England and Wales in October 2022. At that time he had disturbed a cricket test match between England and India.
The BBC had broadcast the replay between Liverpool FC and Wolves, which the Reds, coached by Jürgen Klopp, won 1-0.
