This is how your hair looks voluminous despite the cap

Sunscreen, baseball cap and sunglasses, we do a lot to protect ourselves from harmful UV rays – mostly at the expense of our appearance. That’s not too bad, but if you can do it differently, all the better. At least now a beauty hack will help you to keep your voluminous hair – despite the cap.
From my own experience, I can say that headgear can be a pain. Braids have to be untied, the clasp can leave marks in the hair and if the temperature is too high, you start to sweat profusely. How are you supposed to keep your hair fluffy and soft? Quite simply, like a video on Instagram shows.
Beauty hack: Voluminous ponytail despite the cap
In addition to loose hair, it is probably the ponytail that is worn under a peaked cap. The plait can be easily threaded through the closure at the back of the head and ensures that the hair is out of the face. However, high ponytails can become untidy over time. So that this doesn’t happen, hairdresser Maria Aiello has a great tip for her Instagram followers.
She also chooses the baseball cap and the ponytail as the basis of her hairstyle. But as the after picture shows, the braid is neither flat nor blunt. The ends of the hair just spurt out of the hair tie like a fountain. That’s how it works:
- The hair is tied in a high ponytail
- The hat is put on, the braid is threaded through the fastener at the back of the head
- The hair is then cut in half in the middle and a claw clip is used
- Fix the upper part of the hair with the hair clip and then let the hair fall down – et voilà, the volume is there
Volume hack on loose hair
With loose hair it gets a little more complicated. Long hair in particular has a tendency to loosen over time. To prevent that from happening, you have to get creative. But here, too, a remedy can be found quickly. Simply create slight waves in your hair with a wide curling iron and fix them with some hairspray – not only does it look stylish, the hair also looks much thicker. And if you think it has to be perfect curls: irregular waves are enough. It looks more natural and is much faster.
