Worth the hype or absolutely overrated? We are testing five innovations from the beauty world. This time there: the new trend foundation from L’Oreal and a pillow for beautiful hair.

Product: Carolina Herrera Mini Tint Balm
Price: around 66 euros
Promise: Carolina Herrera’s Mini Tint Balm gives the lips a touch of color while it cools and moisturizes the lips. You can use the tint either alone or even as a primer before lipstick.
Optics: The special thing about the lip products from Carolina Herrera is the design. You can put together the cap and the base of the products yourself – according to your taste. Thanks to the pretty beginner on the lid, you can quickly find the tint in your handbag.
Effect: The balm gives the lips a really natural shade and a light glossy finish. Of course, it doesn’t stand up to coffee or lunch, but the lips feel well cared for all day long. Just what I’m looking for in winter!

Product: Hand Wash by Dr. Jetske Ultee
Price: approx. 20 euros
Promise: The soap contains highly concentrated glycerine (5%) and betaine (2%) and ensures silky smooth and hydrated hands.
Optics: The simple design and the gold-colored applications make the soap a stylish eye-catcher in every bathroom. I think the product is so pretty that I don’t refill it, but place it directly on the sink.
Effect: Frequent hand washing unfortunately makes my skin feel dry and brittle very quickly. I can now counteract this: Because the mild formulation of the hand soap and its high-quality ingredients ensure that my skin does not dry out. Another plus point: the product is fragrance-free and therefore also suitable for sensitive skin.

Promise: The pillowcases from Slip promise an anti-aging effect, should prevent sleep wrinkles and protect the hair from frizz.
Optics: The silk pillowcases are available in different colors and sizes. Everyone will find what they are looking for here.
Effect: actually love I use cuddly pillowcases, which is why I was skeptical whether I would feel really comfortable with the pillowcase at all. But I was taught better after the first night. The pillow is super comfortable and actually protects against a wrinkled face and especially the typical one “Out Of Bed “hairstyle the next morning. I look fresher and more relaxed in the morning!

Product: Plumping tinted serum from the Perfect Match line by L’Oréal Paris
Price: around 15 euros
Promise: The tinted serum should optimally adapt to every skin tone and conjure up a supple and natural complexion.
Optics: The 2in1 product comes in a high-quality bottle with a practical applicator.
Effect: Gone are the days when I only expected a foundation to cover it up. In the home office in particular, things often have to be quick in the mornings, but I also want to shine in video calls with a perfect complexion. The serum is super easy to apply and distribute, the product really melts into the skin and I just feel great. Above all, the caring components and the protective effect of one percent pure hyaluronic acid ensure moisture and a beautiful complexion.
Pigment spots? No thank you! The last year working from home not only strained nerves, the bluelight caused the first pigment spots to appear on editor Ilka, which she now wants to get rid of as soon as possible. © PR

Product: Liftactiv B3 Serum, pigment spots & wrinkles from Vichy
Price: approx. 50 euros
Promise: Our cell renewal decreases with age. External circumstances such as stress, UVA and UVB rays, dirt or bluelight lead to sagging and blemished skin. The melanin in the body takes care of our complexion, if the melanocytes produce too many dark cells, a pigment spot can develop. These make us look significantly older, which is why the Liftactiv B3 Serum wants to renew the complexion, reduce wrinkles and make the complexion even.
Optics: The red bottle has a medical design. Instead of a pipette, the lid acts as a dosing device, which reinforces the impression of innovation.
Effect: The serum is easy to dose and, thanks to its very liquid consistency, it is easy to distribute over the face. Contact with the eyes and lips should be avoided. Afterwards, care is hardly necessary for my skin because the serum is very rich. After just a week, I notice slight changes in my pigment spots. They appear lighter and the structure is slightly dissolving on the sides. In order to have a lasting effect, I have to use the product for longer. If you have very oily skin, I recommend using a few drops, as the skin will be a little shiny after use.
