Regardless of whether it is a hype product or an undiscovered novelty – we know them all. We have tested five beauty products for you. Included in December: a novelty from Gisou and the long-term solution against stubble.

Product: Silk-expert Pro 5 IPL from Braun
Price: approx. 545 euros
To use: The constant hair removal on legs, armpits and intimate areas is not only annoying, it also robs me of valuable time. A permanent solution sounds very promising. That’s why I decided to tackle my hairy problem with the IPL device at home.
Optics: The IPL device comes with a razor, two attachments and an elegant storage bag. The design is reduced and noble.
Effect: Fortunately, I am blessed with dark hair, because the darker the hair, the more effective the IPL device can be. Before each use, the area to be treated must be depilated, as the light impulses burn existing hair and unpleasant smells arise. As soon as the device is plugged in, you can start working. A clear difference can already be noticed after several weeks. The hair on the legs is thinner and less so. There is even no hair growth on the armpits and bikini line – an investment that is worthwhile.

To use: Honey acts as an emollient, supports moisture and soothes the skin. In addition to honey, the face oil also uses evening primrose and rose hip seed oil as well as vitamin E.
Optics: The design of the oil is a small work of art – and far too beautiful to just stand in the bathroom cabinet. A pipette enables even application.
Effect: My skin needs a lot of care, especially in winter. The facial oil provides you with all the important nutrients, keeps you supple and small dryness lines have visibly disappeared. The oil is now an integral part of my care routine!

Product: Brow Fixer from Dashl
Price: around 19 euros
To use: The Brow Fixer does what it says on the tin. The gel fixes the eyebrows and keeps them in shape. With the specially developed brush you can style your eyebrows individually: smooth, brushed or bushy.
Optics: The packaging is in a pretty shade of pink with white lettering. The product is small, handy and super easy to use. The brush is conical and not too small.
Effect: The texture of the eyebrow gel is rather thick – but not sticky, which keeps the brows in shape much better than with other products. It’s colorless and so easy to apply. It even keeps my thick eyebrow hair in shape – a really great product that was developed with expertise.

Product: Acid Cleansing Gel from Doctor Babor Pro
Price: around 40 euros
To use: Since I tend to have a little oily skin, I need a cleanser that has a deep cleansing effect and still provides enough moisture. I also like to exfoliate my face, as this removes dead skin. With the help of salicylic acid and Zint PCA, the Acid Cleansing Gel manages to minimize irritation and blemishes, while the gel gently cleanses the face.
Optics: The packaging and the product itself are kept in a simple, elegant style.
Effect: By cleansing my face with the Acid Cleansing Gel, I managed to minimize excess shine and dead skin particles through thorough cleansing and gentle peeling. And a hazelnut-sized amount per cleansing for the face, décolleté and neck is enough. From now on an integral part of my care routine!

Product: Wave Spray from Ouai via sephora.com
Price: approx. 27 euros
To use: The wave spray promises defined waves without sticking. I spray the spray into damp or dried hair that has already been styled.
Optics: I love the packaging from Ouai. It’s simple, modern and yet classy.
Effect: I already have many Sea Tried salt sprays and had a similar effect on that Wave Spray expected. But different than Sea Salt sprays, the product ensures casual and natural waves without sticking. The hair can still be combed through, shine and look less dried out. Especially in winter with dry hair a product that I would not want to do without.
