Viviane Geppert is a real professional when it comes to taking care of her dream mane. We asked the moderator and coaxed some tips from her …

We all have one thing in common: We love beautiful and healthy hair. And to get that, we don't necessarily have to run to the hairdresser once a week – it's usually enough to take a closer look at your care routine. Viviane Geppert knows that too. The presenter is not only celebrated for her sympathetic charisma or her cool looks, but also for her seemingly endlessly long hair, which some of us feel an extra portion of envy.

Viviane's dream mane, however, is no coincidence. In addition to a little luck in terms of genetics, it is above all the right care and one or the other ingenious professional tip that makes your hair shine. We spoke to the moderator and elicited the said tip from her.

Too much shampoo does more harm than good

And it's all about shampoo. We all love to lather our hair really nicely in the shower and to rub in the shampoo with relish. But are we using the right amount of product for this?

You need a lot less shampoo than you think. Ever since I've known, I've always mixed shampoo with water in a bottle and that's twice as much. I didn't know that for a long time

Viviane Geppert reveals.

A penny-sized amount of shampoo is enough

A simple professional tip with a big impact. Because too much shampoo is difficult to wash out completely. The residue eventually makes the hair dull and brittle and dries out the scalp. Instead, a cent-sized amount of shampoo is enough for fine hair to clean it thoroughly. Those who are blessed with a lot of hair do not use more than a euro-sized amount. And then it is time to rinse, rinse, rinse. Small rule of thumb: The hair is really free of shampoo if you rinse the product at least twice as long as you rubbed it in.
