2 brush rule
With this simple trick, the makeup will always be perfect
This professional technique saves all ruined make-up – bet ?! We’ll tell you how you can counteract a beauty fail in no time at all.
Thanks to social media, we sometimes learn more than we’d like – whether it’s crazy dishes, dance moves or make-up tips. If we’re honest, then we can’t use all of it in everyday life. However, we remember this one hack, because it makes our life a lot easier …
Perfect make-up with the 2-brush rule
Make-up artist Stephanie Valentine – also known as “glamzilla” – shows a trick on Instagram that she passes on to her students in her masterclasses. It’s just as simple as it is ingenious: She always uses two brushes for the complexion products such as foundation, bronzer, concealer & Co. Does that sound uncomfortable at first? Wait!
One of these brushes is dry, as we all know it. The other is wet. “I apply anything that is damp with a wet brush,” says the make-up artist. These include foundation concealer, cream contour and cream blush. Instead, she uses the dry brush to apply all dry products, such as setting powder, bronzer and blush.
This is how the technology works
Actually totally logical. Now we come to the question of why we need this. If your make-up is ruined in any way (by crying, rain or sweat), you can simply work on said area with the wet brush that you have already used and then powder it again with the dry brush. “It’s like it never happened,” says Stephanie Valentine.
It is of course important that you do not use the same brush for every product. With cream products such as foundation and concealer, this is usually not a problem, but you shouldn’t necessarily also apply the bronzer with the powder brush, otherwise the colors will mix quickly on the skin and you can no longer place them where you want them .
A small Foundation and powder brushes you can always take it with you in your handbag. So you are prepared for any make-up situation, no matter how tricky.
