STRONG INCREASE IN REVENUES DRIVEN BY THE SLIM-SONIC AND THE LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCTS

The company recorded a turnover of 5.5 million Swiss francs, up 170% compared to the previous financial year. The strategy of diversifying the offer has been a success: Sales of the SLIM SONIC brand represented 3.8 million euros, up 90% compared to 2020. The relative share of SLIM SONIC in turnover increased from 94% to 70% thanks to the increase in sales of SNØ with its flagship product the Pocket (0.7 MCHF), the launches of CELLISS (0.2 MCHF) and MAIDAY (0.1 MCHF) and the start-up of the first mini-treatment center (bebo hub) in Lausanne (0.6 MCHF), validating BEBO Health’s omnichannel strategy.

SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN PROFITABILITY

BEBO HEALTH has built an economic model of profitable growth.

EBITDA for the 2021 financial year stands at 1.0 million Swiss francs or 18.3% of sales

. EBITDA was multiplied by 4.5 compared to the previous financial year.

The improvement in the EBITDA margin was based on two main factors: the improvement in the gross margin due to better purchase prices obtained thanks to higher volumes and multi-year supply contracts, as well as a marked improvement in the profitability of communication investments with a return on investment of 3.2x in the second half of 2021 compared to a figure of 1.7x at the start of 2020.

The 2021 net result is positive and stands at 0.06 MCHF. The amount of depreciation recognized in 2021 is 0.9 MCHF.

OUTLOOK FOR 2022

Building on its excellent performance in 2021, the company will continue to execute its 3-pillar growth strategy in 2022.

Geographical development

: BEBO Health is now present in France and Switzerland. The company wishes to continue to develop in these two markets which have significant potential where its brands are recognized for their quality and results. This reinforcement will be organized by an increased presence in the traditional media and on social networks on the one hand and by the opening of points of sale at the local level on the other hand.

In addition, the company will launch its products in several European markets, notably in Italy and Spain. This development will be done directly via the digital platform and through local distributors.

The opening of bebo hub

: The company will increase its number of points of sale by accelerating the hub model. A bebo hub is a space dedicated to Bebo Health products established in an existing location (spas, care centers, fitness centers, shopping centers and fitness centers) which will provide access to a constituted clientele wishing to to test technological innovations.

The extension of the range

: BEBO Health’s strategy is to offer new complementary products, such as the SNØ Pocket, to satisfy its customers and convince new ones. Two other products have been launched in recent months, namely the SNØ Kelsius and the CELLISS. These new products will boost the company’s sales from 2022.

CHARACTERISTIC EVENTS OF THE 2021 FINANCIAL YEAR

  • In April 2021, the company set up a payment facility for its customers via the e-commerce platform. Thus, customers have the option of paying for their purchases in several instalments (from 2 to 10 instalments) using the PAYPAL and ALMA services.

  • BEBO Health acquired the bebo hub center in Lausanne in October 2021. This integration makes it possible to start the development of the hubs and to implement the omnichannel sales strategy. In this context, several locations are planned in French-speaking Switzerland this year and for the first quarter of 2022.

  • In November 2021, BEBO Health began marketing the Kelsius, a low-energy personal air conditioner allowing an airflow 10° lower than the ambient temperature. This technology is marketed in the SNØ range. The first feedback is very encouraging and the first sales volumes are expected for 2022.

  • Also in November 2021, the company launched the distribution of MAIDAY products. MAIDAY is a range of food supplements for athletes, made in Switzerland. Complementary products with the technologies distributed by BEBO Health, they will meet growing demand and generate recurring revenue.

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS AFTER BALANCE SHEET

  • On January 10, 2021, BEBO Health SA went public on Euronext Access in Paris by direct listing to develop its notoriety and its brand. In a second step, it plans to appeal to investors to finance its marketing investments and to develop internationally.

  • On January 12, 2021, BEBO Health SA will take over the exclusive distribution of the CELLISS brand, entrusted by CES Management, following the takeover of the DSM Wellness activity by CES Management.

  • On February 17, 2022, the capital increase by debt conversion of the majority shareholder CES Management for an amount of 3.7 million euros at a price of 18.50 euros per share was published in the Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce (FOSC). This conversion strengthens the equity of the company and consolidates the support of the majority shareholder for the development of BEBO Health SA.
