The motive: Bitcoin?

According to media reports, the 42-year-old victim is Danny A. from Baden-Württemberg. The picture describes the Mannheimer as a member of the rocker club “Hells Angels”, the 50-year-old Harry F. was a building contractor.

“This Danny threatened me and Harry’s family to do something to us,” his fiancée told the picture. The men are said to know each other from their time together in prison. “Harry was in for an armored car robbery, Danny was in for murder,” she says. In order to have financial resources after his prison sentence, the rocker gave the 50-year-old 9,000 euros to invest in Bitcoin for him.

After a while, the 9,000 euros became 23,000 euros, according to the fiancée. But Danny F. is said to have demanded more: “After his release, Danny even demanded 60,000 euros from my Harry.” Out of desperation, Harry F. must have shot the 42-year-old from Mannheim, and then himself, the fiancée suspects.

However, the motive for the crime is still under investigation. On request, the Hamburg public prosecutor’s office also informed BTC-ECHO that no further information on the background could be given. The investigation is ongoing.
