Max Eberl’s departure from RB Leipzig continues to cause discussions. The 59-time German national player is particularly critical of the many ex-RB employees at FC Bayern: “Leipzig and Salzburg are the enemy of most football fans. You have Jochen Sauer in the academy, you have Christoph Freund as sports director , now maybe the third one will come with an RB past.”
Hamann continued to criticize: “I believe that Bayern have to be very careful that they do not become a club like any other. That is a very dangerous situation.” The fact that Max Eberl ultimately ends up at FC Bayern is considered an “open secret”. From 1979 to 1994 he played in various junior and amateur teams. He also appeared on the field once for the professionals. To this day, Eberl is closely connected to the club.
Leipzig throws out Eberl confidants
In the past, FC Bayern had tried several times to lure Eberl back to the Bavarian capital. However, those responsible never succeeded for various reasons. After the end in Leipzig, the right time now seems to have come.
