A traffic accident with three injured people occurred in the Villach-Land district on Friday night. Two fire brigades had to be dispatched.
It was 11:15 p.m. when the accident happened near the Kanzianiberg climbing garden in Finkenstein. The 34-year-old driver wanted to avoid a collision with a wild animal that was crossing the road and jerked his steering wheel to the side. The man from the St. Veit district drove off the road and crashed into a tree. Avoiding wild animalsThe car rolled over several times, causing one of the two passengers to be thrown out of the vehicle. The Viennese man (50) remained lying on the ground with injuries. The second passenger, an Upper Austrian (36), and the driver himself also suffered injuries of an unspecified degree, the police announced. All three were taken to hospital. The scene of the accident was secured by the Latschach and Finkenstein fire departments.
