Let’s come back down to earth: power nap is, more prosaically, the name given to a short nap, in corporate jargon.

Welcome to a world where humans, like a smartphone, must “recharge their batteries” rather than sleep. The expression power nap was invented by the American psychologist James B. Maas, in his book power-sleep, published in 1998 (untranslated). It is an “energizing” nap, lasting five to twenty minutes, to be taken as soon as fatigue is felt. It allows you to regain your efficiency at work, or even… to gain some.
