The Christmas holidays are approaching, which means that the Santa Claus must also start working. And we can say that over the years, his way of working has radically changed. We particularly remember the advertisements which invited you to speak to Santa Claus directly by telephone by simply dialing 36 30. Well now forget that, because he has decided to modernize, and is now on social networks. It can be found in particular on TikTok. In fact, several users have decided to disguise themselves and create accounts in his image. And we can say that being Santa Claus is a profitable businessas explained by one of the best known in the profession: Santa Corky, who spoke to Figaro.
Every evening, he explains that he launches a live show, where the decor is carefully studied. A warm atmosphere, with garlands, wood fires, and an inimitable character with his beard and white hair. Everything is done to feel like you’re with Santa Claus, and that’s what appeals to the community of different namesakes. According to the various testimonies collected by the media, these different users earn a good living thanks to this work. Santa Corky, for example, makes a good living from this activity, earning between 50 and 200 dollars per day (between 46 and 185 euros, editor’s note). Others, on the contrary, are not yet able to make a living from it, like a certain Santa Claus from the North earning only 5.20 euros for this type of content.

The Santa Claus business is therefore intended to be quite advantageous for some, who can thus be close to their community during the holiday season. But the limit of this business is that it only lasts a certain part of the year. The rest of the year, we wonder what these fake Santas could be up to. We can imagine them being renewed for each holiday of the year, which could be quite funny. We could even see the emergence of Easter bunnies if volunteers come forward!
