Continuation of the game My Time at Portia released in 2019, the newcomer from the Chinese studio Pathea Games My Time at Sandrock is expected for 2022. The game mixing RPG and simulation will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
Much like its predecessor, My Time at Sandrock is set in a charming post-apocalyptic world, where most modern technology was destroyed on the Day of Disaster. After applying for a job offer to become a craftsman, you are on your way to the city-state of Sandrock. The city will need all your skills and tools to hope to regain its former glory. As you will have understood, your goal here will be to help Sandrock prosper by building various structures for the city. But that will not be all since it will also have to be defended against the monsters that prowl.
In a universe that will be reminiscent of certain animated films from the Ghibli studio or the series of Harvest Moon games, you will be led to explore the vast desert lands that surround the city. And unearth in the surrounding ruins the relics of the Old World and the materials you will need. You can also choose to relax in the city and take the opportunity to get to know the inhabitants and thus discover their stories.
In addition to the hundreds of side quests available in the game, you can let off steam on the monsters that cross your path. Melee combat or third-person shooting, it’s up to you to choose which is your preference. Your skills in combat, as well as those of crafts or social interactions, can be unlocked and improved over the course of the adventure.
