Thanks to hidden cameras placed in the rooms of the apartment, the report highlights the dishonest techniques deployed by certain professionals in the sector. One of them goes so far as to ask the resident of the accommodation to come out of her room while he places a toxic chemical on her bed (which he pretends to do). While she waits outside, he places an insect that he himself carried in a small jar on a corner of the bed frame and therefore claims to have discovered an infestation with the resident. The test is not more conclusive with the two other specialized companies, who claim to have found bedbugs in the apartment and offer treatments to the journalist, the prices of which vary between 500 and 1,500 euros.
