William and Kate attended a “Big Lunch” event in Windsor. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and First Lady Jill Biden also celebrated the king.

After the coronation last Saturday, King Charles III, 74, and his wife Queen Camilla, 75, will continue to be celebrated. This Sunday (May 7th) street parties are taking place across Britain and so-called ‘big lunches’ were on the agenda. Prince William, 40, and his wife Princess Kate, 41, were also visibly relaxed at one of the Windsor events.

At the Long Walk celebrations, the couple, both dressed casually and wearing sneakers, thanked the well-wishers for their support. They shook hands many times and Kate even gave a hug to a girl who was clearly surprised at the encounter. According to the British “Daily Mail” William was also presented with a can of Return of the King, a specially brewed Coronation Ale. He seemed delighted and Kate smiled as her husband told the well-wisher that he would save the beer for later. Many of those present had already gathered there for the coronation concert, which will take place in the evening at Windsor Castle.

Politicians celebrate too

Charles’ brother Edward, 59, and his wife Sophie, 58, attended the Big Lunch in Cranleigh, Surrey. Princess Anne, 72, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, 68, attended the community street festival in Swindon. Not only the royals themselves, but also politicians celebrate with the royal family. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, 42, invited to Downing Street. There, long tables were set with British flags and royal crockery. The US star guest of the event was First Lady Jill Biden, 71, who was also present at the coronation. At Twitter thanked her for the invitation. “Thank you Rishi and Akshata for welcoming me to your grand coronation dinner as we celebrate this special moment in history.”

Buckingham Palace previously said the Big Lunch was designed to “bring neighbors and communities together to celebrate the coronation and share friendship, food and fun”.

And how does the monarch and his wife spend the day after the coronation? As “Mail Online” reports, Charles and Camilla are resting at Windsor Castle during the day on Sunday before the glamorous coronation concert takes place in the evening. Beforehand there will be a VIP reception in the presence of their Majesties for the stars of the evening such as Lionel Ritchie, 73, Katy Perry, 38, and Take That.
