The Renaissance party must thus see the light of day by mid-September and bring together Agir and Territories of Progress, respective parties of Franck Riester and Olivier Dussopt, one embodying the right of Macronie, the other the current more to the left. .
Dissensions around the creation of the party
But Emmanuel Macron has already failed during the campaign to merge Horizon and the MoDem, the parties of Édouard Philippe and François Bayrou. Hence this dinner on Wednesday evening, to try to smooth things over, while the gathering of executives for the creation of the party, last weekend in Metz, revealed some dissension. Olivier Dussopt, Minister of Labor, had thus preferred to speak of a confederation rather than a party, suggesting that he was not ready to make his formation disappear.
In the background is in fact the after Macron and the friction between the right wing of Macronie, represented by Bruno Le Maire or Gérald Darmanin, and the left wing, carried by Clément Beaune or Olivier Dussopt. Everyone wants to weigh as much as possible in this new big party which could well put itself at the service of the future candidate of Macronie in 2027.
