At the start of the year, Kenneth Branagh puts on his director’s cap to lift the veil on his most intimate film. At the cinema this March 2, 2022, Belfast is freely inspired by the childhood of the famous and prolific British actor / filmmaker / screenwriter.
Here we are immersed in the summer of 1969, meeting Buddy, 9 years old. Coming from the working class, this pampered child and evolving in a warm and close-knit community falls in love with television and cinemas.
