The TV movie “Bellefond”, carried by Stéphane Bern and Anne Caillon (“Tomorrow belongs to us”), was thought of by France 3 from the start as a series pilot. And the sequel is already in the works.
The adventures of prosecutor Antoine Bellefond, played by Stéphane Bern, will they have a sequel on France 3?
The chain fond of thrillers, which broadcasts in particular Alex Hugo, Tandem, Crimes parfaits (which will stop soon), or the successful collection Meurtres à…, offered this evening a brand new TV movie entitled Bellefond, with Stéphane Bern , Anne Caillon (Tomorrow belongs to us), Alexandra Vandernoot (Here it all begins), and Mélanie Robert (Un Si Grand Soleil) in the main roles.
The host of Secrets d’Histoire, who recently distinguished himself as an actor in For the honor of a son, lends his features to a professor of criminal law who is taking a break from his career as a prosecutor after a miscarriage of justice which pushed an innocent man to commit suicide before his eyes.
However, one fine day, his niece comes to meet him at university and asks him to follow her to the village where he grew up, in order to prove the innocence of his brother-in-law, accused of murder. A return to the fold for Antoine Bellefond who, accompanied by three of his best students, will have to discover the truth about this affair. And reconcile with his sister, whom he hasn’t spoken to in years.
Cut to please fans of France 3 detective fiction, without showing much originality, Bellefond was thought of as a series pilot from the start. And viewers who have been seduced by this new hero will be happy to learn that a second episode is already in the works!

According to our information, the filming of this second 90-minute opus began on October 13 in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, still under the direction of directors Emilie and Sarah Barbault. The script is signed Anne-Charlotte Kassab, already at the controls of the first episode, and Stéphane Bern will find for the occasion Anne Caillon, who is back in the role of Audrey Passereau and started shooting her first scenes at the end of last week.
The rest of the cast has not yet been revealed by France 3 but Wendy Nieto, Oscar Berthe, and Julia Oberlinkels, who camp Camille, Kevin, and Farima, the three intern students from Bellefond, should logically re-enlist. With possibly a somewhat different dynamic since, as teased at the end of the pilot, their mentor has abandoned his duties as a prosecutor to become a lawyer.
According to information from our colleagues at TVMagazinethis second episode will take place in “the middle of the teenagers about an accusation of rape”. And it is already rumored that a third episode would be in development. In short, Bellefond still has a bright future ahead of it.
