Ben Stiller is on the verge of a special deal: The actor will play triplets in a miniseries.

Ben Stiller (57) will soon be able to sign up for a new engagement that will give him three roles. Stiller could play triplets in an adaptation of the documentary “Three Identical Strangers” (2018), which is to be made into a mini-series. As “Variety” reportsthe series comes from author and showrunner Amy Lippman and is produced by Sony Pictures Television, among others.

Like the documentary, the series tells the true story of Bobby Shafran, David Kellman and Eddy Galland (61). Stiller is supposed to embody the brothers in adulthood. The identical triplets were separated at birth through adoption. Robert Shafran and Edward Galland later met by chance at a school in New York and assumed they were twin brothers. When David Kellman turned out to be the third brother, the triplets quickly became a media sensation. They even opened a restaurant called Triplets.

Achievements as a director

For Stiller, it would be his first major acting role in years and a rare TV appearance from the actor, who has primarily excelled as a producer and director of late. He directed all episodes of the miniseries Escape at Dannemora. He also produces the workplace satire Severance, which he also directed. In April 2022 it was announced that the series would be renewed for a second season. Stiller received Emmy nominations for directing both productions. In the film field, he is known for directing films such as The Amazing Life of Walter Mitty, Zoolander, Tropic Thunder and Cable Guy.
