The eyebrows are light, the eyelashes too, he is now bald – "Breakfast TV" reporter Benjamin Bieneck goes public with a shocking message: He has cancer. On Wednesday morning (November 18) he reported on his illness on TV.
Benjamin Bieneck has testicular cancer
Cancer marked him. Benjamin Bieneck says that he has testicular cancer. Although he had an operation, that could not prevent the cancer from spreading. "I had an operation on July 23 of this year. And I still had the finding that the (cancer, editor's note) had already spread," said the sympathetic reporter on TV. In the meantime he has already had three chemotherapies behind him. The stress of the treatment can be seen in him. His hair has fallen out, he is wearing a baseball cap that covers his bald head. "That's why there are few eyebrows and little hair," he explains, adding: "But they will soon grow again because the chemo has been completed with very, very good results."
Despite the dramatic diagnosis – "Benjie", as many colleagues call him, is hopeful and grateful for the many people who got through this difficult time with him.

The celebrity expert introduces his Instagram post with these dramatic words – his first since the diagnosis. With his 12,000 fans, he shares the worst news of his life. But he is confident of victory – also because he knows friends and family by his side: "Fortunately, there are friends and family who were and still are by my side in my hardest time so far." He uses the public platform to thank all those who get through the disease with him at his side. "With you everything is easier! Even the shitty way," writes the TV face humbly.
Fight against cancer
He has successfully completed three chemotherapies and apparently his physical strength is slowly returning. Benjamin Bieneck is sporty on Instagram – "at least a little," he jokes.
