A man threatened Benoît Hamon on Sunday January 16 at his home in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine). He was presented Monday, January 17 to a judge and placed under judicial supervision pending his judgment, said the Nanterre prosecution.
“Get out of here, we’ll get you”
This individual is said to have shouted under the windows of the Yvelines regional councilor: “Hamon, get out of there, we’re going to catch you, we’ll get you sooner or later, it’s a matter of time”, reported the newspaper “Le Point”. .
Still according to “Le Point”, indications from the neighborhood and the wife of the former presidential candidate made it possible to quickly find the aggressor, an alcoholic waiter that day who “would live or frequent the same neighborhood as the Hamon couple.
Aged 54, he went to an immediate appearance on Monday for acts of threat of crime or offense against a public elected official and was placed under judicial supervision.
His trial is scheduled for May 16, the prosecution said.
