Bernard Laporte will resign from the presidency of the French Rugby Federation
PARIS (Reuters) – The president of the French Rugby Federation (FFR), Bernard Laporte, will resign from his post, we learned on Friday from a source familiar with the matter.
Bernard Laporte had withdrawn after his conviction in December to two years in prison suspended for illegal taking of interests and influence peddling. He was also taken into custody this week on suspicion of laundering tax evasion.
