Bernard Montiel: this enormous sum that he received each month at TF1: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

He is one of the most appreciated animators of his generation, and above all one of the best known alongside Laurent Ruquier, Vincent Lagaf’ and Christophe Dechavanne: like his colleagues before him, Bernard Montiel was in the heyday of the TF1 channel, from 1987 to 2003. It was he who, for 14 years, hosted the famous show Video Gagbut also A gold family, program now taken over by Camille Combal. A glorious period brutally ended by the channel at the time, which did not hesitate to thank Bernard Montiel after his remarks on the RMC microphone, which were not very appreciated. On November 11, 2023, in his show 1 hour with… on RFM, the host returned to this very difficult period for him. “Everything you had built for years, everything is crumbling”he lamentedbefore explaining the after-effects of such a shock: “It was terrible for me, I had a very violent shock, since I lost my voice.”

100,000 francs for “a week of filming” according to Bernard Montiel

Now recovered, Bernard Montiel continues to host the small screen, but on C8 and no longer on TF1. It is now with Cyril Hanouna that he officiates, and more precisely on the show Do not touch My TV as a columnist. On the set, moreover, Monday April 8, 2024, the one who is very close to the Macron couple, sometimes to the point of sharing the confidence, spoke of the salary he could receive when he was still working for TF1. And the sum is surprising: 100,000 francs (or around 22,700 euros) for “a week of filming”, either the recording of “five-six shows” for the program A gold family. “I had to make 250,000 euros per month, but it didn’t last very long”specifies Bernard Montiel, after a brief moment of confusion between the amount of the sum in euros and in francs.

After reflection on the set and facing Cyril Hanouna, the host, who already mentioned in the past the salary he was able to receive for Video Gagfinally clarified that he received, in reality, “200,000 euros per month”. All paid “in invoice”which does not allow him the retirement that one might imagine. “1,400 balls!”, he says, referring to the amount of the latter. And to conclude: “I would like to know how much I will earn if I stop watching TV, I don’t know yet.”
